If you are 14 to 18 years old and would like to try the sport of rowing, the Columbia Rowing Club is offering lessons on the Broad River near downtown Columbia. Getting started is simple! Just email firstname.lastname@example.org to sign up for a “learn to row” session.
Columbia Rowing Club youth coach Brielle Stark explains:
“We run ‘learn to row’ sessions throughout the year for new rowers. We are a group of ten to fifteen rowers who practice three to four times a week during the fall, September through November, and spring, February through May.
In the fall, we race in 5000m races and in the spring, 2000m races. We are a close-knit group looking to welcome new members! Find us on the Broad River, just upstream of the dam near Broad River Road.”
