Gearing Up for the 2020 Series

  • 2 minute read

Welcome back to The Teaser, our blog series dedicated to sharing the stories and highlights from the South Carolina Governor’s Cup Billfishing Series.

We are so excited to get the season started next week with the Carolina Billfish Classic at Charleston Harbor Resort & Marina. Although it’s a much later start than we’re used to, we’re looking forward to seeing the fleet kick off another year of competitive sport fishing in South Carolina.

Undoubtedly, things are going to be different this year, as we follow social distancing guidelines to keep our participants, communities, and staff safe. Please know that tournament and Series staff are so grateful to you for your patience, understanding, and cooperation as we work through these new challenges.

While we won’t gather together for the lively dinners and awards receptions that we typically get to enjoy at tournament events, we remain grateful that the 2020 season is even possible. Big thanks to our partners and sponsors of this year’s Series for their continued support!

To those competing in the Carolina Billfish Classic, we’ll see y’all soon! If you haven’t already done so, go ahead and get registered online today.

And to folks planning to follow the action from home, be sure to check in with us and the Carolina Billfish Classic on Facebook and Instagram for live scoring and updates.
